Robert A. Steen Community Centre is calling out for new volunteers! Like you! That’s right, you!
Are you searching for a new opportunity, wanting to try something new, looking for some job experience, wanting to gain new skills or maybe you just want to have some fun? Then volunteering is perfect for you!
Did you know that not only does volunteering have a meaningful, positive impact on your community but it can benefit you in many ways too?
Here are a bunch of reasons to volunteer:
Learn or develop new skills: Volunteering is the perfect vehicle to discover something you are really good at and develop new skills.
Be part of your community: Volunteering is ultimately about helping others and having an impact on people’s wellbeing. Meet your neighbours and help create a welcoming community.
Motivation and sense of achievement: It may be true that no one person can solve all the world’s problems, but what you can do is make that little corner of the world where you live just that little bit better.

Volunteers are always needed in the following areas:
Board of Directors or Sub Committees: Robert A. Steen C. C. is actively seeking new community members for Board involvement. The participation of many community members helps ensure that the community’s needs are being met. By volunteering your time as a member of the Board of Directors you can share your ideas and help create new possibilities for the Community.
Special Events: Robert A. Steen C. C. holds a variety of events throughout the year. These events include: Halloween Bash, Winter Carnival, Soccer Jamboree, Pancake Breakfast, Preteen dances etc.
Coaching: Robert A. Steen C. C. is seeking individuals to coach a variety of sports and levels.
