Pre-Teen Dances

There is no photo taking permitted at our Pre-Teen dances. Anyone caught taking photos will be asked to leave. Please leave your cell phones/cameras at home! There is a phone at the Centre available for public use.

Parent chaperones are greatly needed but hard to find…call the Centre at (204)783-5616 if you are available to volunteer for any of the below-mentioned dates. If we do not get 6 – 8 volunteers per dance, we will no longer be able to host them.

BABYSITTING COURSE

Basic first aid and care giving skills for youth 11–15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to younger children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Course also offers youth the training to promote themselves as a babysitter to prospective parents.
Course is run by a Red Cross Babysitting Facilitator or Red Cross First Aid Instructor/Instructor Trainer
100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on the written exam

HOME ALONE COURSE

The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children 9 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied. It also provides some basic emergency first aid skills and includes a bonus travel first aid kit for each participant!

Ages: 9 – 11 years

Cost: $40.00 

Day: Tuesdays | Time: 6-8pm
